Groves Still Looking!

PAUL Groves revealed today that he is looking at a couple of players and is not ruling out a contractual arrangement. He also voiced his disappointment at the Kabba moves.

In an interview with Mariners Net he said; "We are always looking to improve the squad, and we have got our eye on one or two at the moment that we would like to do something with, whether we are able to and whether the clubs permit us to we will have to wait and see."

"In an ideal world we would like to sign someone permanent but again we need to look at the finances and see what the possibilities are there - but we're always looking and we're always looking to improve."

"We are still talking to George Santos, that is ongoing, whether we can resolve that - unsure at the moment."

On Kabba he told the Grimsby Telegraph; "It's very frustrating for us. We gave him an opportunity to come and play first division football when no-one else wanted to. No-one was confident in his ability to play at this level and people were questioning that. But we thought he was good enough and it's backfired."

"But that's what happens when you're loaning people. It's something you have to deal with because, at the end of the day, he's not our player."
