Town Sweat on Boulding

MICHAEL Boulding's hip injury remains a problem for the former Villa striker, who is still a major doubt for Saturday's clash down on the South Coast at Bournemouth. The 27-year-old frontman injured his hip during a training session on Friday and missed Town's 3-2 FA Cup defeat at Peterborough.

"Michael's got a sore area around the hip and has not been able to get it going", Town boss Paul Groves told Mariners Net, also revealing that Boulding was still unable to train along with the rest of the Town squad.

Should Town's leading scorer not be fit in time to play at Deane Court, it will be another opportunity for former Evertonian Phil Jevons to stake his claim for a regular first team place. Jevons, who scored in his first start for the Mariners against Posh, has been knocking them in for the reserves all season, and is desperate to re-establish his name after a couple of years spent in the footballing wilderness.
