NICKY Law has signed former Walsall winger Jamie Lawrence until the end of the season. The 34-year-old Jamaican international was released by the Saddlers earlier this month after making just 12 league starts since moving from Bradford City a year ago.

Lawrence has previously played under Nicky Law whilst the pair were both with the Bantams.

"I'm going to bring commitment, experience and have a lot of legs, and I'm sure I can help Grimsby get out of trouble," Lawrence told Mariners Net. "Obviously I've played for Nicky Law before. I trust him and I know that I can play for him."

Meanwhile Sheffield Wednesday versatility player Craig Armstrong has had his loan extended to the end of the season.
