Pinault Moves On (As the Fishy predicted)

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 17/05/2005

THOMAS Pinault has possibly played his last game for Town and is rumoured to be on his way to Oxford United. The talented Frenchman, who failed to hold down a regular place in the Mariners' starting line up, has been linked with a move away.

Town Chairman John Fenty explained: "I think we've all seen what Thomas can do. The flashes of silky skills.

"But we've also seen the other side and we will not be offering Thomas a new deal this year."

Tony Hamilton reported this move in April Pinault Away? after Pinault's agent asked an English agent to find him a club.

Town face the prospect of a very different midfield next season, with the news that Terry Fleming will not be offered a new contract. Town Chairman John Fenty told Radio Humberside that the former Cambridge holding player is not likely to be offered a new deal when Russell Slade returns from holiday, although veteran Stacy Coldicott is. The Town supremo said several new faces were required at Blundell Park "to bridge the gap between the top and bottom of the division."

In other developments today Town stalwart John McDermott as expected signing a new one year contract.
