Loan Moves Imminent

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 22/11/2005

TOWN are expecting to make some loan moves this week to beat the emergency loans deadline for the first half of the 2005/06 season, which is on Thursday.

Mariners Net reports that after 5pm on Thursday no more emergency loan signings can be registered with The League until the opening of the transfer window on January 1.

Clubs will, however, be able to extend the length of existing loans and in exceptional circumstances sign a goalkeeper.

Football League Head of Communications John Nagle said: "Under the new transfer regulations, agreed between The Football League and the Football Association, emergency loans must be registered prior to the fourth Thursday in November, during the first window, and the fourth Thursday in March, during the second."
