WITH the new season almost upon us, it's time to cast an eye upon the teams in League Two for 2006-2007. Richard Hubbert turns his attention to Accrington Stanley.

Key PlayerPaul Mullin. An inspirational striker who netted 14 goals last season. The 32 year old scored the goal that sent Stanley back into the football league in April. If he can adapt quickly to life in League Two, his goals could give the Lancashire side a real chance.
StrengthsMany of their players lack league experience, yet this could count in their favour. This could encourage them to play without any fear and do what many promoted sides from the Conference have done - earn a second successive promotion.
WeaknessesTheir lack of experience could count against them. Last season, Barnet were less experienced at league level than Carlisle and ultimately suffered. Furthermore, if winger Gary Roberts does leave the club, they will also lose one of their most creative and attacking forces.
Prediction16th. Lack of experience may show but they will be safe enough to guarantee league football for another year. After 44 years out of the football league, most Accrington fans would probably take that.

Next Team: Barnet
