PAUL Bolland's foot injury is not as serious as originally feared, and the battling midfielder is hoping to be fit again to play Barnet next week. Bolland suffered a foot injury during Saturday's 2-0 win over Accrington but an X-ray has revealed only minor tissue damage.

Bolland has been on crutches since Saturday, but with today's X-ray having shown no broken bones, last season's Fishy Player of the Year should soon be on the mend, especially with Grimsby not having a game this weekend.

  • Tickets for Town's away fixture at Lincoln City on Saturday December 16th 2006 (1pm KO) have gone on sale from the GTFC ticket office, initially for season ticket holders only. Any season ticket holder will have until 3pm on Saturday to secure a ticket. From 9am next Monday (4th December), the remaining tickets will go on sale to those supporters holding counterfoils from any of the last 3 home games (Accrington, Northampton or MK Dons).

  • Former Mariner Curtis Woodhouse has returned to football, just months after quitting the game in May to become a professional boxer. The midfielder only had one bout (which he won) but has decided to go back to football and has signed for Conference side Rushden & Diamonds, who currently lie in the relegation zone and are without a manager. The 26-year-old's last game as a footballer was for the Mariners in Cardiff's play-off final against Cheltenham in May.
