Contract Talks
News From 25th March 2000
With no moves to or from the club on transfer day, Town are focusing on tying up with new deals with their existing playing staff, particularly those who will be out of contract in the summer. Of the senior professionals these are:
- Kingsley Black
- Wayne Burnett
- Mark Lever
- David Smith
Talks are currently underway between the players agents and the club.
Club vice-chairman Bryan Huxford expressed a wish to see all the players sign as quickly as possible:
"The manager's been given the brief to open talks and see where they are coming from and what they want
"We'll get something sorted out as soon as we can."
