Planning Deferred

Planning Application Deferred
News From 26th May 2000
North East Lincolnshire's council's cabinet decided today to defer Grimsby Town's planning application for their new ground until a later date when it can be heard by the full council and not just the Planning Committee.
The meeting was deferred chiefly because committee members had to declare any interests (deemed to be either possessing a season ticket, or being a regular supporter). After the interests were declared only 3 members of the committee were left.
In addition more time was allowed for those opposing the stadium to prepare their case. It was agreed that the whole authority would have to think very carefully about the proposal.
