This clodhopper of a striker was not Mr Laws' most inspiring signing (if there ever was one). Most of the time he was warming up the subs' bench, but Jewell did start a few games too, linking up with Ivano Bonetti at Charlton, one game, to secure a 1-0 win. After then, Jewell was never seen in Town again and has gone on to manage Bradford and Sheffield Wednesday in recent years and is now in charge of Wigan.
