Question of the Week

Where will Grimsby be next season?

Injury List 14/08/2001

By: Peter Forrester
Date: 14/08/2001

WITH the first game of the season passing with a hard fought victory over the Railwaymen and the season well under way how busy will the physio room be this season? Here is the Injury List for this week:

Tony Gallimore: The left back was a big doubt before the Crewe game but declared himself fit a couple of days before the game bringing a much needed boost for Lennie Lawrence. However during the game "Galli" strained a muscle in his back and is certain to miss the trip to the Hawthorns this coming Saturday.

Paul Raven: Having be targeted by ex-boss and Imps manager Alan Buckley, the former Baggie has set a date of the Cup game against Lincoln to make his return and ease Town's serious centre back problems.

David Smith: A possible replacement for the injured Gallimore this Saturday is Smudge. However the left-sided utility player has to prove his own fitness before being included in the squad. Smith injured his calf in training last Thursday but with the aid of an injection should be fit to face Albion

Wayne Burnett: The hero for the Mariners against Crewe scoring the only game is suffering from sore ribs. It is not yet known if he will miss this week's trip to the Hawthorns.

Stacy Coldicott: The tough tacking midfielder is nursing a very sore hamstring. The player will be hoping to get fit for the trip to his old stomping ground.

Steve Livingstone: Perhaps the player who all the Town faithful are missing the most is Livvo. The striker has been battling a bad back injury for quite some time now and has gone to Lilleshall to try and combat the injury and make his much awaited return as soon as he can.

Probable starting X1 against WBA:

Danny Coyne
John McDermott
David Smith
Paul Groves
David Beharall
Stuart Campbell
Menno Willems
Danny Butterfield
Alan Pouton
Phil Jevons
Jonathan Rowan
