Tim Sills to Sign?

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 26/06/2004

GRIMSBY boss Russell Slade is hoping to sign a new striker on Monday, and Aldershot's Tim Sills is believed to be high on his wish list, after having claimed he was offered a contract with Town last week.

Non-league Shots have this season gone full-time professional and the 24-year-old striker, who scored twenty goals last season for the Hampshire club, is yet to sign up at the Recreation Ground.

"Grimsby were interested in me but they wanted me to go up and sign on the dotted line last week. I didn't want to do that and felt I should hear from Aldershot first," he told the Aldershot News and Mail.

With the only forward currently on Town's books being David Soames, Slade is desperate to add some fire power to Grimsby's squad. Jonny Rowan and Darren Mansaram have both been offered one year deals but neither has yet agreed terms with Grimsby.
