Grimsby Town 1 Southend 1

In the last game of the season Town finished all square with Southend in a very tight game with Southend striving to gain an important 3 promotion points.
It nearly started badly for them in the third minute when Gritton scored but was ruled offside.
On 57 minutes Reddy score a brilliant overhead kick to put Town in the lead
But on 70 minutes Eastwood scored from a Southend corner heading the ball in beyond William's reach.
There were a few minor problems with Town fans standing around the pitch waiting to run on at the end of the match and a few were crossing over the line on to the pitch itself. But the ref ignored it and the 4 minutes injury time was played without incident and the score stayed at 1-1
