A centre half who played 296 league games for Town scoring eight goals in two spells at Town (1968-75 and 1979-82). Joined Town as an apprentice in 1968 from Sheffield schools. Also had spells at Scunthorpe, Lincoln and a loan at Doncaster. Part of Town's 1980 Division three championship winning side.

Clive now owns an asbestos company in Sunbury, Middlesex.
