Town Sign Midfielder

THE Mariners have snapped up left-sided midfielder Tommy Taylor from Norwegian club Viking Stavanger on the last day before the transfer window closes. The former Derby County youth player impressed Russell Slade during a pre-season trial at Blundell Park and has been brought in for cover.
Town are light on left-sided players with Gary Croft and Tom Newey the main options on that side of midfield.
The midfielder has signed a one-year deal with the Mariners after deciding to return to English football before Wednesday's transfer window deadline.
The 20-year-old would have played in a reserves match against Sheffield United on Wednesday but his international clearance failed to show up in time.
