Finishing one place above Town last season the Bees have started well lying near the play-offs as we enter the half way point of the season. After being promoted in 2005 Barnet have made steady progress, improving slowly each season. This time round manager Paul Fairclough will want to fight for a place in the top 7 as his impressive form in charge of Barnet continues. With more limited resources then most Fairclough has received much attention from clubs higher up the league and the former Stevenage boss will hope that this season will be as good as his previous ones at Underhill
Lying in the top ten has been an achievement for the Bees but worries are setting in as their great start to the season seems to be slowly wearing down with just one win in seven. Barnet are under pressure to deliver at home on Saturday and start to turn their bad patch around. Jason Puncheon and Liam Hatch (left) are given the duty of breaking whoever Town will place between the sticks and so far both have provided a large amount of Barnet's goal tally this season with 11 goals. In midfield the Londoners can count on Michael Leary and youngster Max Porter while at the back experienced shot stopper Lee Harrison is able to help keep the clean sheets
Young midfielder Jason Puncheon is really making a name for himself since his move from MK Dons with seven goals in the league this season from midfield. His performances are something for Town to worry about his link up play with Liam Hatch is exceptional and he can track back better then most in the league.
