Watch Town for a Tenner

TOWN have reduced ticket prices for Easter Monday's game with Brentford to ease the burden on supporters after they have just shelled out to buy Wembley tickets this week.

With over 20,300 tickets having now been sold for the Johnstone Paint Trophy Final against MK Dons on Mar 30th, the club want to encourage supporters to come to the Easter Monday game and see off the players before they go to the national stadium.

Adult tickets for the Brentford game are just £10, concessions are only £5 and juniors under 16 can get in free if accompanied by an adult. Season ticket holders can also take youngsters to the game at no extra cost but they must get tickets from the club.

Town accounts manager Steve Wraith told the Grimsby Telegraph: "Fans have spent a lot of money getting their tickets for the big day at Wembley and we wanted to help them out for Monday.

"Hopefully we can get a bumper holiday crowd and send the lads off to the final in style."

With the news that Rotherham have been docked ten points, two wins in the Easter games away at Mansfield and home to Brentford could lift the Mariners to within a few points of the play-offs, so Town could do with all the support they can get in both games.

  • Grimsby's reserves side lost 1-0 to Darlington last night. Ciaran Toner featured in the game, and the Ulster midfielder should now back in contention for a start in the first team over the Easter period.
