Shoddy inexperienced midfielder who was signed by Buckley as a first choice player at the start of the 08/09 season. Heslop was given a 3 month loan deal with a view to a permanent move.
Looked to have poor ball control, wasn't very quick, and a poor footballing brain. Very Terry Barwick-ish, didn't stick out as much though. Never really looked threatening against non-league sides in pre-season. Once his three months were up the new manager Mike Newell sent Heslop back to his parent club Barnsley, with a "thanks but no thanks" message.
