Scott Disappointed

JOINT Town manager Rob Scott was disappointed with the performance of his players in last night's 1-1 draw with Rushden in which once again Grimsby could not hold on to a 1-goal lead.

Town took the lead through substitute Rob Atkinson on 28 minutes but conceded an equaliser just 10 minutes later.

Scott said: "We were in control, scored, but then it was the same story. We didn't grasp the opportunity we had in our hands."

The frustrated joint manager, still waiting for his first win since arriving at Blundell Park promised changed in the summer unless performances improved.

"I'll still be here next season. They've got five games left and have to do something in those five games to stay at this club.

"Whether they are contracted or free, nothing has changed. It's the same old story. Well, there are worse jobs to be doing than football - I can guarantee them that."
