Question of the Week

Who will win League 2?

Beat the Bookies: Week 3

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 26/08/2011

LAST Week there was just won winner (Barnsley at Reading), but it more than paid for all the other losing bets. Newport came close to beating Grimsby, Scunny were just minutes away from losing at Charlton. The less said about Bolton and Accrington the better however.

Home > 2011-2012 Season > Beat the Bookies > Week 3

Premier League Tip

Liverpool v Bolton - home win (1.44, Victor Chandler). Liverpool are so consistent these days under Dalglish. Bolton are no pushovers but I'd expect the Reds to win.

Championship Tip

Crystal Palace v Blackpool - home win (2.75, Victor Chandler). Blackpool seem to be struggling to adjust the life back in the Championship. Palace have won four on the spin. The odds for a home win seem like they should be shorter than 2.75.

League One Tip

Sheff Wed v Scunthorpe - home win (2.05, Hills). Scunny looked tired at the end of the match with Newcastle on Thursday night, and they all played 120 mins of football. You'd expect Wednesday to the business anyway, but the fatigue factor makes odds better than Evens look very tempting.

League Two Tip

Macclesfield v AFC Wimbledon - away win (2.75, Victor Chandler). Wimbledon have started well in League Two. Macclesfield are not the pushovers they were a couple of years ago but I still fancy the Dons to get all three points.

Blue Square Premier Tip

Cambridge v Hayes & Yeading - home win (1.73, Bet365). Cambridge have played mainly the bigger sides in the division in their games so far and they haven't done too badly. Hayes look like they'll be at the wrong end of the table again this season.
