Beat the Bookies: Week 19

LAST weekend was a disaster as every tip lost! Luton almost lost to Alfreton but a late equaliser for the Hatters denied us as a long odds winner. Otherwise it was a bad week for the tips. Onwards and upwards.

Home > 2012-2013 Season > Beat the Bookies > Week 19

Only the brave would bet on Grimsby this weekend in the FA Trophy against Havant and Waterlooville. Town are a parsimonious 2/5 to win at Blundell Park. If you fancy the Mariners to win well you could always go for an Asian Handicap, but our instinct is to look elsewhere. .

Premier League

  • Liverpool v Aston Villa - away win 10.19. 5Dimes). Liverpool have spluttered and started all season. Villa have improved a bit in recent weeks and are unbeaten in the last five games. It's a long shot, but you never know!.

    League One

  • Doncaster v Coventry - away win (3.25, Ladbrokes). Donny have not won any of their last three games, whereas Coventry have won 4 out of 6 and drawn the other 2.

    League Two

  • Accrington Stanley v Wycombe - away win (3.1, Betfred). Accrington have won just one out of the last six whereas Wycombe have triumphed in three.

    FA Trophy

  • Woking -1.5 v Welling United - home win (AH) (3.7, Marathon). Woking definitely seemed to have turned the corner after the 7-0 drubbing at Hayes (when they were down to 10 men all game). They won 7-0 in the last round against another BSS team and we fancy then to win by at least 2 goals again.
  • Dartford v Tonbridge - away win (6.0, 888 Sport). Dartford have had some terrible results recently and you really have to wonder whether they'll manage to turn it around in this game, which is a Kent derby to boot. Tonbridge are plodding along in the BSS and this'll be their biggest game of the season probably.

    Blue Square South

  • Hayes & Yeading v Dover - away win (2.0, Sporting Bet). Dover are going great guns and are top of the form table in the BSS. Hayes are doing nothing special, and with Dover's support and Hayes lack of it this will probably be more like a home game for the Kent side.
