Grimsby v Alfreton Team News

GRIMSBY have a full squad (excluding Hearn) to pick from for the visit of Alfreton on Saturday. That squad though has been augmented by striker Lenell John-Lewis who was signed shortly before the transfer window closed on Thursday night.

John-Lewis is likely to at least make the bench, but whether he starts is another matter as Grimsby already have competition between Hannah, Cook and Brodie for the two forward positions, with Greg Pearson, Southwell and Elding also on the books. The former Imp has played as a wide midfielder before so that's another possibility if he is to begin the match.

Alfreton have had a solid start to the campaign and are currently in a mid-table position. They have recently signed midfielder Steven Hewitt from Burnley, so he'll be a likely starter for the Derbyshire club.

Alfreton have a better record away than they do at home. They have won at Wrexham, Macclesfield and Lincoln amongst other grounds.
