Beat the Bookies (Summer) Week 3

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 07/06/2013

New England v LA Galaxy turned into a rout and ensured a profit for Beat the Bookies in the second week of the Summer. The tennis and baseball tips also won to make sure we started out on the right footing in Week Two.

Football

  • Seattle Sounders FC v Vancouver Whitecaps - home win (1.91, Bet365). Seattle are very strong at home in front of their massive crowds. Vancouver had a good result at New York last week, but they were helped by a red card for a Red Bulls player, and it has to be said the result flattered them. It might have skewed the odds too far in their direction..

    Rugby League

  • Leeds v Castleford - away win - away win (5.5, Unibet). Leeds are a very up and down side and often seem to struggle against the lesser clubs. They have also lost the last three games, and Cass beat them earlier in the season in Castleford.

    Cricket

  • England vs Australia One Day Match (ICC) - Australia (2.1, Bet365). England were pretty average in the recent one day games with New Zealand and the Ozzies are so good at this form of the game, the win for them looks the best value.

    Baseball

  • OAK Athletics @ CHI White Sox (07th June) - away win (2.15, Betway). CWS are 1-9 and OAK are 8-2 over the last ten games. The fact that OAK are odds against is a stand out bet whoever is pitching!
