Tom Corner was a product of the YTS here at Grimsby Town, he was added to Neil Woods's squad for the start of the 2010-11 season, which was the club's first season in non-league football. Despite his inexperience the young forward was dipped in and out of first team football throughout the year and finished the season with 11 appearances to his name.
In the summer of 2011 he was released and found himself moving to Spain in a shock move to Spanish Third Division side Racing Portuense. Whilst playing with the club he was scouted by former La Liga side Real Valladolid and was offered a trial, though somewhat surprisingly wasn't allowed to leave Racing and after losing his chance to play in former Real Madrid player Miroslav Duckc's side he was released and returned to England.
In somewhat contrasting circumstances he went from the fringes of a move to Valladolid to playing for lowly Tadcaster Albion. He later moved on to Ossett Town where his goals earned him a move up the footballing ladder to Bradford Park Avenue which is where he remains as of May 2013.
