Shots Winger Joins Town

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 08/07/2013

FORMER Aldershot winger Alex Rodman has joined Grimsby in a one-year deal. The 26-year-old, who can play wide or up front, has also played for Grantham, Gainsborough and Tamworth, as well as a loan spell last season at York.

Rodman was an England C international, in 2010 while at Tamworth, but has not been illegible to play at that level since he joined the Football League with the Shots in 2011.

Aldershot had to release their whole squad when they were demoted to the Conference in the summer, and Rodman has to find a new club. His first full game for Town could be against his former side in the opening game of the season, who will have a completely new look this season from the team that was relegated.
