Salisbury v Grimsby Team News

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 11/10/2013 (Last updated: 13/10/2013)

GRIMSBY will be without striker Lenell John-Lewis for the trip to Salisbury, and centre back Shaun Pearson will also not be on the bus as he is suspended for the long trip to Wiltshire after picking up 5 bookings.

John-Lewis (ankle) has no chance of recovering in time for the game, but fellow striker Ross Hannah is hoping to recover from the hamstring injury which caused him to miss the midweek game with Cambridge.

It's likely that Town will have a completely new front two of Andy Cook and Liam Hearn at Salisbury. Clayton McDonald will replace Pearson in the back four

Former Man Utd midfielder Ritchie Jones has extended his short-term contract at Blundell Park until mid January. The 27-year-old has recovered from a groin strain and was an unused substitute on Tuesday night.

Salisbury have had a good start in their first season back in the Conference after winning the then Blue Square South play-offs last season. They sit level with points with Town, and are one of an amazing four part time sides currently in the top eight.
