Town Take a First Leg Lead

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 01/05/2015

GRIMSBY take a narrow lead to Blundell Park for the second game, which sees the winner head to Wembley for the final. It was the Mariners first win in the Conference play-offs at in their fifth game at this stage.

Two stunning goals by Nathan Arnold sent the 600 Town fans away happy. In between the goals the Mariners conceded a soft free kick, but the Eastleigh comeback was short lived thanks to a fantastic effort by Arnold.

The Town goals would have graced any level of football and Grimsby start as strong favourites to qualify for the match at Wembley.
