Town Conclude Pre-Season

GRIMSBY concluded their pre-season with a 1-1 draw with Wigan at Blundell Park. A late penalty from Ben Davies levelled the game after the Latics took an early lead through Callum Lang.
The Mariners have generally thrashed lower league opposition and held their own against clubs in division above them against whom they have won 1, drawn 1 and lost 1. The one unknown is of course how Town fare against clubs at their own level, but the answers to that question will emerge over the course of the next few weeks.
Grimsby still have a vacant number 9 shirt, so there is every prospect of at least one more signing before the season begins in earnest.
