Notts County v Grimsby Team News

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 15/12/2017

GRIMSBY face second-placed Notts County in the first of three consecutive games against the top three clubs. The Mariners are themselves in fine form having won the last three games to climb level on points with the play-offs.

Town will have their work cut out though against a County side who have won 8 of their 10 home games and are unbeaten at Meadow Lane. The Mariners though have one of the best away records in the division and will be confident of a positive result after their recent wins.

Town are not expected to make any chances, but midfielder James Berrett is fit again and could feature in the squad. Notts County likewise are injury-free with the exception of a couple of long-term injuries.

Town took four points off the Magpies last season, and will be hopeful the over 2000 Grimsby fans will cheer them on to return home with at least a point and keep their renewed hopes of promotion alive.
