Grimsby v Macclesfield Team News

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 11/01/2019

GRIMSBY'S second Swedish defender has signed this week. Ludvig Ohman has joined Town from IF Brommapojkarna, joining Sebastian Ring at Blundell Park. It's likely that at least one of them will play against Macclesfield.

Their entry is timely as Andrew Fox is suspended and the left back joins Danny Collins, Akin Famewo, Harry Davis and Alex Whitmore on the unavailable list. Hall-Johnson and Rose did a fantastic job at Palace last week and must be strong contenders to keep their places even if they are not deemed to be their natural positions.

In other news Luke Hendrie has joined Grimsby permanently from Shewsbury after impressing during his loan spell and midfielder Elliot Embleton has extended his loan from Sunderland until the end of the season.

Macclesfield striker Harry Smith is available after a three match suspension but fellow forward Jordan Ponticelli has returned to his parent club Coventry as he loan has finished. Ryan Lloyd (knock), Elliott Durrell (knee), Ryan Taylor (hip) and Callum Evans (ankle) are all doubtful.
