Trouble Ahead

There may be trouble ahead

News From 17th February 2000

Just when the future looked a bit brighter disaster has struck at Blundell Park:

  • Bradley Allen is out and will remain out for 4 to 6 weeks with a broken toe.
  • Lee Ashcroft has damaged a hamstring and is out for 4 to 6 weeks.
  • David Smith has a hamstring injury which makes he doubtful for the next game at least.

Alan Buckley has tried to get a couple of loan signings from Bradford City. Robbie Blake and Lee Mills are believed to have been sought after, but Bantams manager Paul Jewell (who played briefly on-loan for Town) was unable to help at this stage of the season.

Unless loan signings take place it looks like Livvo will partner Daryl Clare up front, and Paul Groves will return to central defence, to partner Mark Lever.

Let's face the music and dance......
