Gareth Taylor who is valued at 350,000 pounds by Man City declined an offer to play for the Mariners on loan. Lee Peacock another Man City player Buckley was also interested in looks like moving to Bristol Rovers for a 600,000 pound fee.
Michael Jeffrey may be Alan Buckley's last option to sign a new player before the season starts.
