Black Comes Back

On-loan signing Kingsley Black has returned to Blundell Park after a month on loan to Lincoln City. The Imps had been keen to retain Black for a further month at Sincil Bank, but the Grimsby winger turned them down.

Black has started in the last 5 games for Lincoln, and has enjoyed being involved in regular first team football again. "I enjoyed it at Lincoln. It was good to be involved in first team action but having spoken with Phil Stant, I decided to return to Grimsby. It's nice to be back and obviously I want to try and get back in the side here" said Black today. The 32 year old wide man decided to returned to Grimsby after his final game on loan ended in disappointment with the away fixture against Plymouth postponed due to flooding. Lincoln manager Phil Stant said: "It's a shame because I think he has done well since he arrived here and it has been of benefit to both parties."
