Gallimore/Allen Update

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 13/02/2001

Left back Tony Gallimore (pictured) is back in training after returning from an injury assessment unit at Lilleshall. The ex-Carlisle full back, who will be 29 next week, has been suffering from a persistent groin injury.

The Mariners reserves are due to face Scunthorpe United away tomorrow evening, and striker Bradley Allen is due to make another appearance for the club's second string, subject to the weather. Allen played for an hour two weeks ago in the reserve game against York (where Grimsby lost 2-1) after having been out for three months with tendonitis.

Grimsby manager Lennie Lawrence suggested in Saturday's post-match comments that Bradley Allen would figure at least on the bench for Saturday's fixture against Burnley.
