When Andy Tillson was sold to QPR, Alan Buckley pulled of the bargain of the last century: he rescued Futch from Halifax's reserves for the price of 10k. Futch's class was amazing, he just oozed round players half his age. He helped Town to Promotion and carried on going and going. After a fall out with Brain Laws, Futch left to become a manager and after a few unsuccessful attempts he is currently manager of Stalybridge Celtic in the Conference.
