Question of the Week

Where will Grimsby finish?

Leicester Team News

ON the back of a two week break and a four game unbeaten run, the Mariners face a tough looking fixture at second place Leicester City who now seem almost certain to make an instant return to the Premiership.

Town have mixed injury news for their first ever trip to the Walkers Stadium:-

The bad news is that Darren Barnard, Stacy Coldicott and possibly Alan Pouton will miss the rest of the season through injury. Pouton is suspended for a further four games anyway so is unlikely to play a further part this season.

The good news is that Richard Hughes, John McDermott and Michael Boulding will travel with the squad after recovering from injury most of the week. Hughes picked up an ankle injury on Tuesday, "Macca" hadn’t trained until a few days ago whilst Boulding has been out since March 1st with an ankle strain. However, "Quick Mick" is likely to only be on the bench with two home games fast approaching next week.

Loan midfielder Michael Keane has returned from Northern Ireland under 21 duty unscathed and is expected to start in a five man Mariners midfield.

Since the departure of John Oster, it is likely that forgotten man Terry Cooke may have a place in the squad, or even perhaps in the starting eleven, with Stuart Campbell switching flanks to the left.

Predicted Lineup

Danny Coyne, John McDermott, Tony Gallimore, Simon Ford, Georges Santos, Terry Cooke, Richard Hughes, Paul Groves, Michael Keane, Stuart Campbell, Darren Mansaram.
Substitutes: Steve Chettle, Chris Bolder, Steve Livingstone, Michael Boulding, Sean Allaway (Gk)

Fishy Prediction: 1-1 draw
