Stuart Campbell Says He Is Staying Forever!

STUART Campbell who was linked with a move to Cardiff City earlier this week is out of contract at Blundell Park at the end of the season. But says he has no intention of leaving the Mariners adding that the sooner a new deal is sorted out the better.
"I love it here. I'm happy at the club and settled now. It's my third season at the club."
"Considering my age I hope it won't be a short contract. I'm only 26 and I'd like another long one. For footballing reasons I like it here and my family are settled."
Campbell will be free to speak to other clubs on January 1. "This is the first time it's ever happened to me and I've come to the end of a contract. I've been fortunate before, when I was at Leicester, where I was offered one with a year to go. I've been fortunate in that respect." He told the Grimsby Telegraph.
"But it's not very nice to be honest. You don't know what's around the corner. The longer the uncertainty goes on the more unsettling it is. In an ideal world it would be good to get it sorted out quickly. But we don't know what's going to happen. The main thing is that I'm happy at the club."
On money he said: "People say that about the ITV Digital money but they forget that me and Pouts took a big pay cut last summer. That levels it up a bit I think. It seems to get overlooked but I'm realistic. I can't speak for Pouts, but I know what's happened to football and what money is about now."
