The Final Link?

AFTER signing Rob Jones today it looks likely that Russell Slade may sign Malian striker Abdou "Abdul" Tangara as the final player he is seeking to complete his new squad.
Although he is still on contract with Swiss club SR Delemont, he will be allowed to leave to join Town.
Currently it is understood that his agent is in discussions with his club and The Mariners.
From the feedback viewed from people who have seen him play, there is a mixed response regarding his ability although he has been greeted with some adulation by certain sections of the crowd.
If he does sign, it will be the end of the acquisition budget for Slade.
It is a pity that there will not be room for the return of Darryl Clare who has been playing very well since he left Blundell Park and a correspondent to the Grimsby Telegraph today draws attention to his availability.
