Kidderminster Team News

ANDY Parkinson is hoping to be fit in time to be available for Town's clash with bottom club Kidderminster on Saturday, in a match that Russell Slade has promised to make changes in following Saturday's embarrassing defeat at non-league Exeter City.

With striker Michael Reddy suspended following his sending of during the defeat by the Grecians, one of the main questions is whether Town will persevere with Slade's preferred 3-4-3 formation, or instead revert to 4-4-2. Parkinson limped out of training this week, meaning Grimsby were short of strikers, but the former Tranmere player's prospects of playing have improved over the last few hours.
Town boss Russell Slade is once more looking to bring in another striker on loan tomorrow. "We're chasing somebody that we feel is experienced to come in and strengthen the squad", Slade told Radio Humberside.
Town's other main injury concern is striker Darren Mansaram, who is ruled out with a back strain since returning from a loan spell at Halifax. Justin Whittle and Stacy Coldicott have also both missed training this week with minor knocks, but are both expected to shrug them off in time for the weekend.
Slade is most likely to make changes in defence, where Town have been particularly poor in the last couple of games. With Terrell Forbes still unavailable, Greg Young could be due for a recall in place of Rob Jones, who had a poor game at Exeter.
One enforced change is in midfield, where Terry Fleming is suspended, and Stacy Coldicott is expected to be a direct replacement for the former Cambridge man.
Former Town midfielder Shaun Cunnington returns to Blundell Park as caretaker boss of struggling Harriers, who have lost their last five games by an aggregate score of 1-13.
On-loan WBA midfielder Simon Brown is expected to make a return to action after recovering from a cracked tibia. He could replace striker Ian Foster, who was stretchered off in Kidderminster's last game at Vale Park with an ankle injury.
