Slade Chasing Two New Players!

RUSSELL Slade is talking to two midfielders, one from League 1, and hopes to get them on board this week he told the Grimsby Telegraph.

He is close to signing one, and another who is a league 1 player he is hoping to sign also.

Slade said: "I am still waiting to sort out things with players like Jason Crowe and Stacy Coldicott, but I need to push on and bring new faces in. I can't afford to wait and then be left short in the middle of the park."

"One player I am looking at was in the division above last season and can play in both midfield and at the back if needed. We'll see what comes of it but I want to get things moving and hope to have another midfielder secured in the next 48 hours."

On Williams he said; "I am intensifying my search for a keeper and that is something of a priority for me while I wait to speak with Anthony Williams."
