Hockless Joins North Ferriby

FORMER Grimsby Town midfielder Graham Hockless has joined local non-league side North Ferriby United. The UniBond League Premier Division outfit have also taken another former Mariner, Chris Bolder, on their books.

Hockless had a frustrating three seasons at Blundell Park, where he seemed to fall out of favour with whoever was manager at the time. The result was that the Hull-born midfielder only started on 9 occasions for Grimsby, despite his obvious talents and the generally poor form of Town whilst he was here, scoring just two goals.

Earlier in the close season Hockless had suggested he wanted to leave English football and move to Australia, but instead he will be lining up against the likes of Bradford Park Avenue, Lincoln United and Blyth Spartans next season.

Chris Bolder was released a year ago and spent last season at Ossett Town. Bolder managed 13 appearances in two years with Grimsby, but was always a fringe player at best.
