AS REPORTED earlier this week, foreign loan players are expected to arrive at Blundell Park next week. In addition to Mathieu Chalmet of Bordeaux who is a midfielder capable of playing on the left or right, two others will be accompanying the Frenchman to try their luck with Grimsby Town.

Bertrand Ketchenke a 21-year old central defender from French club FC Rennes and Francisco Montenegro, described as a flying left winger from Portuguese club Boavista, will be arriving next week in Cleethorpes. These players were all spotted during the Under-21 Toulon tournament and some may take part in the pre-season friendly games.

More trialists will be coming both from the UK and overseas and manager Lennie Lawrence claims he will have them all assessed by August 3rd. With Alan Moore from Boro on loan and the recent signing of striker Phil Jevons from Everton, the hard work has only just begun with Lennie Lawrence facing a tough task in building a winning team for the coming season.
