Question of the Week

Who will go down?

January Player of the Month Winner

By: Tony Hamilton
Date: 12/02/2003

HERE is the Fish readers' January Player of the Month result. Just as in previous months, a run-away winner emerged when the votes were finally totted up.

Home > 2002-2003 Season > Player of the Month > January

Here’s how the votes were cast:

Stuart Campbell103
Terry Cooke40
Paul Groves31
Danny Coyne18
Steve Chettle10
Darren Mansaram10

So for the month of January the winner is Stuart Campbell, and here's a few word about him. Stuart was loaned from Leicester City for a season then bought by the then manager Lennie Lawrence for £120,000.

He has been capped by Scotland at under 21 level and at the end of last season, became another Town player who was called on for international duty, when he was selected for Scotland B's squad but missed out on playing due to injury.

If he keeps up the form he’s in at the moment the full squad will be easily reachable for him, and would prove his doubters totally wrong.

So don't forget the voting form that’s on the match reports (home and away), and cast your nominations for next month’s Player of the Month.
