I am thinking of creating a Last Man Standing Tournament for readers of the Fishy to participate in. You basically pick a Premier League team each week and hope they win. If they don't you are out. You can't pick them same team twice. The winner is the last one, the Last Man Standing.

It will cost €5 to enter (that's euros). You need to be registered with Paddy Power, or you can register just to join this tournament.

The winner wins the pot, which the more people enter the bigger it will be.

Anyone interested? I'd hope to get at least 20 people participating. Ideally 50 or more for a big pot!

PP have told me there is a 10% management fee deducted from the prizepool. I say we might as well do it. Even with 20 people that will be a prize of €90.

OK I have created the tournament. The cost is €5.

Go to https://lastmanstanding.paddypower.com/ and select "Join a Private Tournament" at the bottom

The tournament is called Fishy1 and the password is gtfc

Anyone can join. Get your friends and family to join. The more that join the bigger the prize. You have to join before the first match on Saturday.

All competitors must be over 18.

Let's see how we get on with the first one. It's likely that most people are still in after 2-3 weeks until they start picking more difficult games.  Not everyone might want to have several competitions running at the same time.

You have to enter before Saturday lunchtime when the first game kicks off. It only takes a minute to enter, a few more to register with PP if you don't have an account.

I'm probably going to get the reputation of a tight twit here but I just complained to PP as they took a full £5 out my account and not €5 (approx £4.25). However, the guy on the live help said that if you entered in sterling the prize would be paid in sterling so all is good. I hate the thought of PP doing me out of 75p!!

Everyone made it through to week 2 as we all avoided Man Utd! A couple of people wasted their one "draw" (not a good idea to use it in Week 1).  Unless there's a very loud call for another tournament to start next week I suggest we run with this one only so we just have to make one entry.

Definitely not it's normally a euro, I do it every week. It used to be a tenner a week about 3 years ago the prizes were a lot bigger.

I got through this week with Cardiff, used my draw up though. But at least I have Man City for a future game!

ok there is a new tournament

Go to https://lastmanstanding.paddypower.com/ and select "Join a Private Tournament" at the bottom

The tournament is called Fishy2 and the password is gtfc. The cost is €5, the prize is 90% of the total stake for the Last Man Standing.

Those still in Fishy1 can join Fishy2 if they want, all new competitore welcome.

Everyone got knocked out of Fishy2 in week 1 so we all get our money back minus €0.50 costs. Fishy1 is still going on, I cannot see how many are left.

There wasn't much take-up for Fishy2 so I am reluctant to start Fishy3 until there is a loud call for it.
