Found this golden beer today so treated myself to 6 bottles. A very good buy for 500ml at £1.25 a bottle and not even on special offer.  You don't often find this in Aldi. I have really enjoyed it before.

"Old Golden Hen" won an international gold award this year.

It is the sister of "Old Speckled Hen", both of which are good beers.

Fans might be interested in buying a few to down their sorrows and forget our current performances and results.

Aldi 'Cromwells Gin' is well worth a look - award winner (beating Hendricks, Bombay Sapphire and Sipsmiths) and is £9.95 a bottle. Bargain.

I'm told their champagne is also superb vfm.
