AFC Bournemouth: Cherries plan 18,000 stadium expansion
Bournemouth chairman Jeff Mostyn says the club are looking to expand the Goldsands Stadium to 18,000.
Their current home in Kings Park, traditionally known as Dean Court, currently seats up to 12,000 fans . "We know we can expand to 15,000 without any problem and hopefully look at further development," Mostyn told BBC Radio Solent's Sportshour show.
"We've spoken before about filling in the corners and that would probably take the capacity to 18,000."

Nah - they had a local (pretty wealthy) businessman who took charge and they did OK with him for a while before he sold the club on to the Russkie.

Facts are Bournmouth is a far bigger place with more potential unfortunately

Poole & Bournemouth are virtually the same town, no discernible space between ( a bit like Gy & Clee). Add in Christchurch as well and i'd guess the population would be approaching 500k? Having been down there recently there is considerable wealth in the area too

oh and lets not conveniently forget they decided to not pay their bills and go bust while honest John refused to take that route.....similar to Leicester when we were on a par with them...and a whole host of other clubs...

Isn't Sandbanks not far from there too? Only people as weatlhy as Harry Redknapp's dog can afford a place there.

Just had a quick look at the number of English teams who have gone into administration. I can't believe how long this list is and there a few on here I'd totally forgotten about. We'll never know what would have happened if we'd gone down that route at the time of the ITV Digital fiasco.
