A few people have mentioned they are looking to back Amond as top scorer for the league. Bet365 are now offering prices on the market. Top town players are as follows-

Bogle- 12/1

Arnold- 20/1

Amond- 25/1

Pittman- 100/1

Anybody sticking a few quid on anybody?

Scott Rendell favourite at 7-1, then Parkin 8-1, Mangan/Bogle 12-1. Interesting that Pittman is all the way down at 100-1!!

Amond is fantastic value.

Each way is a quarter of the odds for finishing in the Top 4.

I think i asked about Amond on twitter the other day.

Looking at his form in Pre-Season, he could be a great bet at 25's!

What about Ryan Bowman, who has moved to Gateshead?  He did well when at Hereford.  Not so well with York in the League.

£322.50 if he finishes top goalscorer.

£72.50 if he finishes in the Top 4

Danger with this is that they'll be shared around between a few players. Will Amond definitely start every week with Bogle and Arnold linking well together?

My bet365 is restricted so will only let me have 40p on Amond!

Thanks for this £10 each way on Amond to go with the £50 I have on us winning the league. This could be the best or worse season in ages!

In this league the team that wins it usually also produces the top scorer. IIRC this has been the case for each of the 5 years that we have been down here. Maybe double up Bogle/Pittman/Amond with Town to be champions.

Of course the downside of having 3 quality strikers is that the goals will most likely be shared around.

A friend of mine made £3000 out of it before they closed his account.

I utilised the system and now I am restricted to winning max of £10 on any bet.
That is why 365 only let me have 80p.

Bear in mind if you choose to do it, they will close your account eventually.

You need a decent amount in Betfair, say £3000 and bet the 4/1 offer with £50 win bets to make £3000.

You will not lose the £3000 in Betfair, but need that amount of money to place a lay bet.
So you back to win at Bet365 and back to lose at Betfair.
It is the staking that makes the winnings. Not doubling up or anything silly.
But sooner rather than later, Bet365 will restrict or close your account, even if you lose overall at Bet365.

Get on sharpish - fairly sure the odds will tumble on Amond.

Got £20 ew on at 25/1 ... Had been waiting for a scorer market for our division for weeks and was hoping for 10s or better.

Five minutes later tried to jump on with a further £25 ew (the price is ridiculous value, imo) and they wouldn't take it. Ergo, they're gonna realise soon enough and he'll be down around Bogle's price come season start...especially if we all continue to lump on...

I put 20 e/w on ammond and 10 win on Pittman as the odds were stupid last night. Got 25/1 for ammond and 100/1 on Pittman. Also did £35 on town to win league last month at 13/2! Hopefully end of the season I will be getting smashed, lol

Pittman won't play enough games to be up there. He's unlikely to be first choice and even if he was hostory tells you he'll do well to be fit for more than 25 games a season.

Too many variables for me to bet on this. Injuries, suspensions, drops in form etc. I admire everyone's optimism though.

Re Pittman I think you are right but 100/1 for him it was worth£10. If a similar thing happened to bogle or ammond as happened to Hearn I think he would come into contention. I also think the more he played the more prolific he would become. Have to say though me preference is for ammond to do well as I think that puts us in a better place for automatic promotion and then my second bet comes into play too

Like the bit about Town winning automatic promotion but Brodie as top scorer in the Vanarama - FFS where does he get that from?

William Hill mate, I had to ring them to get the odds as they don't offer it as a double online.

Brodie had 1 May be two good scoring seasons at this level, never replicated it. I suspect that is an uninformed guess.

Not arsed if any of ours are in there as long as we have more points than anyone else...

A bit of movement in Bet365's odds. Both Amond (in from 25's) and Bogle (out from 12's) are now 16/1.

Happy to be on Amond at 25/1.

I note that Bet365 have JP Pittman at 100-1. Each way shout?

Only problem with this is appearances, if he plays the whole season it could be a decent bet,  but injuries or the form of Bogle and Amond may restrict his goal scoring

Missed the early bird pricing but managed to get Podge at 20/1 with skybet yesterday after succumbing to hunch. £50 e/w (£100) pays £1350 if he in top four...

You'll only get 1/4 odds if he finishes 2nd-4th. By my reckoning you'll get £300 for 2nd-4th and £1350 if he comes 1st.

Podge now 10-1 second favourite on BetVictor, Scott Rendell was favourite but picked up a nasty looking knee injury yesterday.

Pleased I managed to get on at 33-1! Although Bogle has moved out to 16-1, I got 14. May be worth doubling up on Bogle after 4-5 games if he's not scoring but looks like he's adapting to FT.

James Norwood (33-1) and Andy Cook (25-1) still look decent value.
