For the first half hour we looked more than one division better than Boston, Marshall playing off Amond was very good.

Looked to me that Monkhouse scored the first but just read Amond deflected it in? It was at the far end from the Town fans.

Once Marshall went off we were never as good and Boston got back into it. Stupid goal to give away but let's hope that's it now!

Struggled for a spell but Mackreth started to take the game by the scruff of the neck and Amond, whilst laying on the floor, toed the ball home and Pearson rose to head in from close range.

Hope those missing are fully fit for next week, whether it is Pittman, Arnold or Marshall who partners Amond should give us enough movement and skill to create chances.

Amazing how Marshall has gone from decent but not quite good enough for Town, to Lincoln misfit, to looking like an essential part of the new attacking line up.

I don't believe thats possible, certain people of the fishy spoke before he even got here that hes not good enough and a bad signing, and we on the fishy are never wrong

I openly admit that I wasn't impressed with his signing after him running into dead ends last time around, however he seems to have more outlets now and he is becoming a real playmaker. I'm very pleased to eat my words. UTM

Echo the comments made about Marshall. He looked unstoppable. Hope he came off as a precaution. The 10 minute spell after they scored the daft equaliser I thought for the first time in the (few) games I've seen that we looked a bit "all at sea". Enter Mackreth who put in the best display I can remember seeing from him albeit against inferior opposition. He was everywhere-both wings, cutting into the middle and Boston simply couldn't handle his pace and movement.
Pearson got a great reception from the Boston fans although their "He's one of our own" chant made me titter.
I'm not sure where Monkhouse fits into Hurst's plans but in Hurst we definitely trust.
Gowling led the defence well.
Both full backs put in a good shift.
Macca should share the blame for their goal with whoever hammered the back pass at him at chest height-I couldn't see it was at the other end.

Best pre-season for results I can remember since 1971/72 and those of us old enough remember very well what happened then.....

The formation change was the key in the second half, bringing Monkhouse off for Pearson and going 3-5-2 gave us control again and Jack Mac deserves credit when he went up front, everything in the last 30 minutes went through him.

Not a bad result considering we had three key strikers missing, Pearson playing left back, Toto right back and Gowling in the middle, missed Marshall when he went off but Jack did Ok second half, strange format tho

Hursty sounded a bit concerned about Pittmans fitness for next week but more hopeful of Arnold. Hopefully Bogle will join in from Tuesday but certainly lacks game time so my guess is bench at best for him at Kiddy

Marshall has been a revelation in pre-season, seems to have rediscovered his thirst for the game after a season in the wilderness with Lincoln.  Let's hope he and Pitman are fit for next week.

Not as fluent as over friendlies I have seen but it is.

Thought Marshall looked better down the middle than he possible does out wide as his quick feet and good vision helps turn defenders and lay it off or do something we have been missing - run at defences. All being well his injury was not that big a deal.

We possibly lost our way a bit but after the shape change and Jack coming inside we looked better as they tired and we made the ball do the work.

Looking at the game I think we have a really good 1st 11 and a decent 2nd string, but we need to have some really good luck with injuries if we are to keep any consistency,.

If you look at the goals on the Peterboro site you will see Marshall took a knock on the knee when scoring his goal and was visibly limping afterwards - presumably he ran it off but may have taken a knock on the same spot today

Worried to hear Pittman and maybe Arnold have possible problems but I am not surprised Bogle is still not right - I am convinced he was not 100% when he signed

Injury-wise Robertson worries me most and I think 9 pre-season game,s despite the winning streak and the confidence it has given was 3 or 4 matches too much - gave Hurst a chance to look at everyone and try possible permutations I know but someone was bound to get a knock or worse in those number of games

Hope Amond and Pittman start at Kiddy with Arnold in there too - that will be enough to blow the Harriers away and the back four looks impregnable whoever actually plays

Is this the same Paul Hurst who said Robertson was 100% not playing at Wembley and that we wouldn't sign Omar Bogle?   Don't want Kiddy knowing our starting line up now do we.

I can never remember us scoring so many pre season, usually edgy 1 - 0 wins at best.

There's been times when we would have been lucky to see some strikers score 9 in  a season let alone pre season.

Amond is a true striker, he takes up great positions and his reactions in the box are excellent. He usually works the keeper when he does not find the net.

Amond can sense where the goal is and where the keeper is even with his back to the goal, his decision making is excellent.

It wasn't ideal in terms of seeing the team that will play at Kiddy with all the injuries but did well overall, especially considering that.

We looked a class above Boston first half, agree that Marshall was great up front and it'd be interesting to see him in that role again. There was a bit of a lull after he went off and we took a while to get going again but looked threatening again when we went 3-5-2 with Mackreth supporting Amond up front.

9 wins from 9 first team friendlies. Can't ask for better!
