Biggest home score ( aggregate ) i have ever seen.       Is it a record ?

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

It equalled our biggest win at this level. We've beaten both Alfreton and Stockport by the same score previously.

We were 1 goal away from equalling our biggest ever league win, when we beat Tranmere 8-0 in 1925!

I remember us beating Luton 7-1, but obviously, 7-0 is better

I remember Town scoring 8 against a certain Halifax Town in the
early 1950's when Bill Shankly was our manager. In his book he
said that was his " finest team "

I'm not one to get easily carried away ( not yet, hopefully ) but some
of the passing and movement last night would have made Shanks proud.

I remember the 7-0 defeat of Stockport as well. If anything, they were even more abject than Halifax last night.

I saw Town beat Lincoln in the Lincs cup  8-3,

With Ron Rafferty scoring 6 of them.

I think 11 must be the highest aggregate goals scored in a first team game. There was 11 in the amazing 6-5 win over Burnley too.

Brought back memories of Town 7 - 2 Darlington, 6 - 0 up at half-time.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

I think it was 12-1 Leon but that was only a friendly.

The sweetest big score for me was the 7 - 1 demolition of Scumthorpe in September 1966.

I knew it was a friendly and against lowly opposition but Akpa Akpro got four that day!

I know it's been mostly crap but there has been some decent goal fests while we've been down here. When Hearn was banging them in for us we'd scored the most home goals in Europe and there was a feature in Four Four Two about it.

Yes that was another great night,

They had Ray Clemence in goal as well.

Unfortunately we haven't played in the league for many a year now, so the Tranmere result would have remained the record, in my opinion.  This is just a 6-year long nightmare that will one day soon be erased from all our memories..........
