I can see a few outraged Imps fans appearing on here in next few weeks if they can keep up the run of good form Town will announce back end of next week Lincoln fans are having the corner ONLY so about 600 seats for them. They still probably wont manage to sell the full allocation?

Not sure it would be a good idea to have the corner if we keep up the run then I feel we will take a few more than the last few years.
I still will go always enjoy the atmosphere.

I would like to see this.  But ONLY if we have the demand from our fans to fill the rest of the ground.  Yes, its frustrating not getting as many as we would like for their place.  But to limit their fans coming here just for the sake of it would be churlish.  If it does happen and they sell all their tickets and have a few (non hooligan) fans in the Main stand, I hope they get accorded the same respect (Ie left alone) as me, my son and the hundred or so Town fans that were in their family stand did.

Funny kick off time, on the TV, dog faeces on the street, A46 has some potholes, winter daylight hours...etc etc....make it an all ticket match, allocate them 600 initially , hold back the rest of the Osmand to see what their and our demand is and decide then.  Simple....but perhaps too much of a common sense approach.

I do not think Town will sell any seats in the Osmond until either we are nearly sold out in the other stands,

OR

Lincoln sell their 600 very quickly and ask for more.

I doubt any of those will happen seeing its on the Telly.

BUT

You never know.

I don't think they've sold out the Osmond stand ever. Even in the play off semi final there were some seats spare. I'd bet my house they don't sell out the entire allocation of the Osmond.

Remember them packing the Osmond out around 2005 ish in Slades first season when a Simon Yeo hattrick helped them turn us over 4-2.

Can't remember them filling it so much since.

Yah! Boo! Sucks!
Is this annual who's got the biggest member debate wearing thin?
Maybe a year or two away from each other would help us appreciate the fixture a bit more and make it more edgey?

Think you misunderstood me.  They wouldn't even come close to selling out the whole of the Osmond. I'm saying if we just give them the corner and they sell that out. If they keep in with a chance of the play offs they could break the 600 barrier. If we keep up our run I would love to see us fill the main part of the Osmond as well. UTM

I'd give them unreserved seating tickets.. if they sell less than 500 by the Thursday open the osmond to town fans and put them in the corner. if they sell more than 500 but less than 800 and town tickets are flying out give them the usual section but open the corner up to town fans.

They have been given an initial allocation of 920. Will there be any danger of them selling this many?

Quoted Text

Our Vanarama National League game at Grimsby Town on Monday 28 December has been made all-ticket for visiting supporters.

City fans will be housed in the Osmond Stand (behind the goal, covered seating) and prices are as follows:

Adult: £16
Senior Citizen (65+): £10
Young Adult (15-1: £10
Student: £10
Junior (under 15): £6

We have been given an initial allocation of 920 tickets for the game which kicks off at the earlier time of 12.30pm and these are on sale now from the LCFC Ticket Office. They will be available for purchase until 3.00pm on Boxing Day prior to our home game against FC Halifax Town

920? I'm not really sure where that will be really. The corner part doesn't hold that many and the main section behind the goal holds far more.

What a random number.

Aside from the urine poor excuses for not coming every year, this year I thought some might actually bother coming to see the game.

I really don't see this obsession people have with putting town fans in the osmond end, surely it's best to fill up the usual areas to capacity first?

I would say this random looking initial 920 is to allow for decent segregation should we require 'The Corner' of The Osmond. But if their sales go particularly well - they will probably have first digs at 'The Corner' seats.
